A Cody Kessler Backstory As He Signs With Eagles
Cody Kessler has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now on his third team since being drafted in the third round of the NFL draft. Remember when then-Browns coach Hue Jackson said, “you gotta trust me on this one.” I recently spoke to an offensive coach who was on the Browns staff when Kessler got drafted in 2016. “They drafted Kessler because the owner … Continue reading A Cody Kessler Backstory As He Signs With Eagles
Sunday Buzz: USC-Lakers Comparisons Used To Be Good
Would Lynn Swann be able to conduct a coaching search any better than the Lakers? It’s a legitimate question for an athletic director who acts like he knows everything but has no practical experience. Lakers fans seem to have similar feelings about Kurt Rambis, who took too much time and ended up with Frank Vogel. Who would USC’s Frank Vogel be? Or are they already … Continue reading Sunday Buzz: USC-Lakers Comparisons Used To Be Good

UCLA received a commitment tonight from linebacker Jeremiah Trojan of Chandler, Ariz. Trojan’s best offers were from Arizona State, Boston College, Purdue, UCLA and Wisconsin. He is not rated by Rivals yet but Chip Kelly does his own thing when it comes to recruiting. A recruit’s stock for “some” can depend on whether the kid likes the … Continue reading USC Spin Moves Fast
USC Graduation Always Has Offspring Of Famous
Among the graduates yesterday at USC were the daughter of actor Sylvester Stallone and daughter of NBC broadcasters Dan Hicks and Hannah Storm. CBS broadcaster Jim Nantz also has a daughter at USC but I don’t know if she graduated. Did any of them know Lori Loughlin or Olivia Jade? Congrats to my baby girl. USC Saturday Buzz: Transfer Madness And SEC Comparisons
Is it really possible Matt Fink never committed to Illinois other than his father saying so? And, if true, why did it take four days for Fink to clear it up? Does Illinois really want former Penn State QB Tommy Stevens more? I’m already tired of Fink’s college search and it doesn’t appear to have gotten very far. I’m going to mention this ESPN article … Continue reading USC Saturday Buzz: Transfer Madness And SEC Comparisons
