USC Recruit Watch
USC has a recruit visiting this weekend with offers from Oregon State, BYU, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Toledo, UTEP, Akron, Liberty, Middle Tennessee State, New Mexico and Old Dominion, South Alabama and Youngstown State. I’m not mentioning the recruit’s name because it’s not relevant. What is relevant is how desperate USC is recruits right now. Why is Lynn Swann tolerating this? I’m curious if some … Continue reading USC Recruit Watch

Wide Receiver Trevon Sidney Transferring Too
Abandon, ship! Wide receiver Trevon Sidney hasn’t played much so this isn’t surprising that he is also transferring. But when you throw this into all the other developments, it is one more negative development for the program. It won’t affect USC’s prospects next season but it is one more player who can share a negative experience with USC. And maybe Bru McCoy heard plenty in … Continue reading Wide Receiver Trevon Sidney Transferring Too
USC Friday Afternoon Notes
Is Orange Lutheran wide receiver Kyle Ford flipping to Oregon now that his friend, Bru McCoy, has signed a financial aid agreement to attend Texas? The Galen Center crowd of 4,125 for USC’s 80-57 victory over Arizona was the smallest in arena history for a USC-Arizona game. Blame Arizona’s struggles because the Wildcats usually bring as many or more fans to this game. Now … Continue reading USC Friday Afternoon Notes
What Clay Helton Should Be Doing
Have you ever heard of Clay Helton going to visit one of the two NFL teams in L.A.? They both made the playoffs. One is playing in the Super Bowl. Maybe Helton or his staff could learn something from them. It doesn’t require getting on an airplane. Helton’s proven he can’t run an offense. Clancy Pendergast runs a no-adjustment defense. John Baxter destroys special teams. … Continue reading What Clay Helton Should Be Doing
