Todd McNair Granted New Trial
Former USC running backs coach Todd McNair will get a new trial after a judge ruled today that the jury foreman should have been disqualified from the trial because his legal office did some work for the NCAA during an earlier phase of the case. This is literally the case that will never go away. McNair has been hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since the … Continue reading Todd McNair Granted New Trial
USC Morning Buzz: Wednesday Notes
So I gave you the good news yesterday that the Seahawks are pursuing USC strength coach Ivan Lewis. Since Clay Helton never will do anything to fix the strength coach, this might be the only way to get it fixed. Stay tuned. Continue reading Some Potentially Good Staff News

Here is one way to gauge it: In the past, even if USC was awful like during the Paul Hackett era, it had well-respected coaches like defensive line coach Ed Orgeron or secondary coach Dennis Thurman who developed players. During John Robinson’s awful final two … Continue reading An Observation On USC Coaching
USC Morning Buzz: Back To Work?
Lynn Swann is back from Augusta National Golf Club so maybe USC can make some progress in finding an offensive coordinator. Swann should also take a look at recruiting too. USC is desperate for cornerbacks and just lost its best tailback recruit (Jordan Wilmore). Meanwhile, it appears no USC players declared for the NFL Draft. Wide receivers Michael Pittman and Tyler Vaughns were two possibilities … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Back To Work?
