USC Saturday Notes: A Wet And Busy Weekend
The rain yesterday did not stop USC beach volleyball from playing two matches vs. Grand Canyon and Long Beach State. USC won both matches, 3-2. The beach volleyball alumni match is today at 1 p.m. USC leads Auburn, 3-0, in the third inning today. Jaden Agassi is pitching for USC. The Trojans lost Friday night to the Tigers, 8-7. Friday Night Column Supplement
Here’s another publicity photo from the 1953 film, “All-American.” From the left, USC running back Al Carmichael, actress Mamie Van Doren, actor Tony Curtis and USC running back Jim Sears. So now you can say that Curtis wore a USC uniform. It’s fitting Sears always looks happy because every time I spoke to him he was happy and a great guy. If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Is this going to feel like a Big Ten weekend? With cold weather ahead, let’s start off with a snow day, or at least a snow picture. With that mind, how about a photo of some snow. But he’s only caught … Continue reading Wide Receiver John Jackson Enters Transfer Portal
A Potentially Hostile Situation
I’m going to take a wild guess that there are some UCLA defensive coaches who used to coach at USC that are not happy campers at the moment. Why? Because UCLA has reportedly hired Baltimore Ravens safeties coach D’Anton Lynn as its new defensive coordinator. That means UCLA coach Chip Kelly hired a 33-year-old with no experience as a defensive coordinator over Ken Norton Jr., … Continue reading A Potentially Hostile Situation
Morning Buzz: USC Recruiting Target May Spurn Georgia
Five-star QB Dylan Raiola has reportedly canceled a visit to Georgia. If his interest in Georgia has waned, it leaves Nebraska and USC as Raiola’s top two choices. As usual, the intriguing aspect is whether Raiola would actually come to USC to challenge another five-star (Malachi Nelson) to be the successor to Caleb Williams. Also: The winner of this QB derby would make their first … Continue reading Morning Buzz: USC Recruiting Target May Spurn Georgia
