Discuss The USC-UCLA Game
If you are watching the sold-out USC-UCLA basketball game tonight, you can post comments here. The teams have split the past 14 meetings. UCLA is a 11.5-point favorite tonight. Remembering Rink Babka
I wanted to wrap a retrospective of Trojans who passed away in 2022 with Rink Babka. Babka, a silver medalist in the discus at the 1960 Olympics, died in January. He was 85. Babka held the world record in the discus and was the NCAA champion in 1958. He was USC co-captain on the 1958 NCAA championship team. One of my pronouncements before that season was USC would never win a national title without Norm Chow. I also felt if USC had beaten Texas, it could have just kept winning national titles. Remember, … Continue reading Say What? It’s The 17th Anniversary Of USC-Texas
Rick Singer Sentenced To 3.5 Years
Rick Singer, the mastermind behind the Varsity Blues scandal, was sentenced to 3.5 years today. The big question is whether Singer implicated anyone else . . . like from USC, perhaps? It is the longest sentence handed down in the scandal that ensnared some of the nation’s most prestigious universities and put a spotlight on the secretive admissions system already seen as rigged in favor of … Continue reading Rick Singer Sentenced To 3.5 Years
