The Rumor Mill
The word around USC is Graham Harrell might be talking to some other teams about a job. It would really throw a spanner in the works if Clay Helton lost his “most valuable asset.” Continue reading The Rumor Mill

USC Fires Steve Lopes, 2 Other Administrators
USC has fired COO/CFO Steve Lopes, Trojan Athletic Fund senior associate athletic director Ron Orr, and associate athletic director Scott Jacobson. The Los Angeles Times was the first to report it. I’m told these moves are primarily related to the College Admissions Scandal. Lopes and Orr and long-time employees while Jacobson is not a widely known public figure. Some sources feel bad for Orr, because … Continue reading USC Fires Steve Lopes, 2 Other Administrators
USC’s Biggest Donor Ever . . . Goes To LSU Game
Wayne Hughes, the biggest donor in USC history ($400-450 million), sat next to another major donor, Brian Kennedy, in an LSU suite at the Superdome last night. Getting Hughes to come to the game was another masterclass move by Ed Orgeron. I hear Hughes also brought his usual companion, former USC football player Al Cowlings. Imagine the two most prominent USC athletic donors sitting at … Continue reading USC’s Biggest Donor Ever . . . Goes To LSU Game
USC Morning Video: Mike Bohn Speaks To Boosters

FYI: This was at Rolling Hills Country Club for the Trojan Golf Classic, which raises … Continue reading USC Morning Video: Mike Bohn Speaks To Boosters
LSU National Champs Thoughts
Five former USC coaches just won a national title and a ring (Ed Orgeron, John Robinson, Kenechi Udeze, Tommie Robinson, James Cregg). They all left or were fired from USC. Meanwhile, USC continues to have Clay Helton to ensure mediocrity. What is Pat Haden thinking tonight? Someone needs to send a search party to find him? But don’t forget J.K. McKay, Mark Jackson and Steve … Continue reading LSU National Champs Thoughts
LSU-Clemson Chat
Clemson isn’t done yet. It’s nice to watch two teams so much better than USC. Joe Burrow is doing it all. He throws and runs for more than 320 yards in two quarters and LSU leads 28-17 at halftime. LSU takes the lead, 21-17. Nice job of the Pac-12 refs to not see the guy touch out of bounds. Clemson is off to a flying … Continue reading LSU-Clemson Chat
