Another trademark of the Clay Helton era. Every USC player I saw against Utah wore black shoes and black or white gloves. But here is wide receiver Tyler Vaughns in yellow gloves and red/black shoes. And I doubt anyone cares at USC. It’s called a uniform for a reason, though. Continue reading The Non-Uniform USC Uniform

USC has basically shut down and sent people home today after the news of a player testing positive for the coronavirus. USC was supposed to have offensive coordinator Graham Harrell and two players at a press conference this morning. That was scrapped and the Trojans will not do any football activities today. A player I spoke to said Helton told the team it was Utah’s first loss in its first home … Continue reading Clay Helton Finds A Big Accomplishment For USC

QUARTERBACK Something is wrong with Kedon Slovis. He isn’t saying. Clay Helton isn’t saying. Graham Harrell isn’t saying. But like everything else with USC and its easy schedule, it might not matter. Grade: D RUNNING BACKS If I have an observation off the Utah game, I’d probably like to see Kenan Christon start getting more carries, since the offense could use a breakaway threat. Grade: … Continue reading USC-Utah Report Card
