USC Backs Down And Will Not Change Coliseum Name
USC will no longer change the name of the Coliseum. The university will now call it United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after United Airlines agreed to a compromise deal following pressure of politicians and veterans. The deal is now 10 years instead of 16. USC did not reveal how much less it will receive than the original $69 million agreement. If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
F. Scott Fitzgerald said, “Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me.” Fitzgerald could have said the same thing about USC. The way Joshua looked after getting hit by Ruiz reminded me of how Daniels looked after he took a hit early in the Stanford game last season. No … Continue reading A USC-Heavyweight Boxing Comparison

When I saw the video of the billionaire who shoved Raptors guard Kyle Lowry at the NBA Finals last night, I thought, “I bet he has a USC connection.” Little did I know how connected Mark Stevens is to USC. Stevens, who attended USC, is a member of the Board of Trustees and has donated more than $100 million to USC, including $10 million for … Continue reading The Billionaire Who Shoved Kyle Lowry Is On USC Board Of Trustees (Of Course)
