USC Radio Highlights And Lowlights
Remember when KABC forgot to do a two-hour pre-game show before the Colorado game? Well, check out this tweet today from KABC: USC plays Cal tonight. Not Nevada. Not Stanford. Not tomorrow. And USC plays Stanford on Jan. 18, not Jan. 28. And I don’t know what starts at 6 p.m. because tonight’s game is at 7:30. Great move going to KABC! Speaking of radio, … Continue reading USC Radio Highlights And Lowlights
High Nerves In Heritage Hall
Some veteran members of the athletic dept. are nervous following this week’s purge and worried they might face the sack next. I even ran into one last night who told me they were unsure of their future. There’s nothing wrong with having long-time members inside an athletic dept. The problem is when you become dismissive of others or think your way is the only way … Continue reading High Nerves In Heritage Hall
USC Morning Buzz: Here’s Something To Fix Following Purge
This is not related to the firing of Steve Lopes but one of his duties was scheduling football games and he was behind the 2021 game vs. UC Davis, that will break USC’s record of only playing FBS schools. This would be a correctable error for Mike Bohn to fix. But let’s face it, does Bohn strike you as someone who do something bold like … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Here’s Something To Fix Following Purge
Austin Jackson Going Pro

Is Kedon Slovis going to throw 55 passes next season with questionable protection? How long will he last with worse tackles? I’m sure Clay Helton and the Boy Wonder have all the answers for that. Continue reading Austin Jackson Going Pro
Looking Good For Joe Barry
USC tried to interview former player/current New Orleans Saints defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen for the defensive coordinator’s position but the Saints denied permission for an interview, according to athletic dept. sources. That leaves Joe Barry. I’m told Mike Bohn has signed off on hiring Barry and an announcement could be made in the next 24 hours barring any complications. What an exhaustive search. Bring … Continue reading Looking Good For Joe Barry
Mike Bohn’s Behind-The-Scenes Spin Strategy
You probably have read how the firings of three athletic dept. employees is part of Mike Bohn’s master plan to save the athletic dept. It has merit. But what fascinates me is the way the plan is being selectively leaked from Heritage Hall. Bohn is not speaking on-the-record to the media right now about what he is doing. Instead, Bohn and Co. seem to prefer … Continue reading Mike Bohn’s Behind-The-Scenes Spin Strategy
