I mentioned Friday there is increasing speculation that USC is pursuing Rams assistant coach Jedd “the” Fisch. I will just repeat a couple things: I don’t see how Fisch wants to become part of the Helton swamp while his stock rises as long as he is tied to Rams coach Sean McVay. The Rams are also losing quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor, who will become the Bengals’ … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Is The Air Raid Era Over?
You want to talk about Lynn Swann’s ineptness? He is going to pay Tee Martin for two more seasons! Martin signed a two-year deal worth $450,000 per season at Tennessee, according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel. That money will be deducted from what USC owes Martin the next two years. Just as football set some lows in attendance this season, basketball has … Continue reading If No One Comes To USC Games, Does Anyone Notice?
I wrote a Pac-12 preview for the Sporting News and the first thing I noticed was how tough Stanford’s schedule is to start the season and how many good nonconference games there are next season. The Cardinal open the season hosting Northwestern, play USC at the Coliseum, at Central Florida (25-1 the past two seasons) and home to league-favorite Oregon. After facing Oregon State, Stanford … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: I Picked A Pac-12 South Winner
